Mike Malkemes, Claire Barber, and Suri Clark

Luke Patterson interviewed Mike Malkemes, Founder and Executive Director as well as Claire Barber and Suri Clark of Generation One. Luke and Mike discussed Generation One and Charitable Giving. Generation One is a trans-denominational ministry in Houston, Texas that dedicates itself to the spiritual growth and physical rebuilding of impoverished areas in the Third Ward. We office locally in order to better understand the needs of the community and organize the response of those who have a heart to serve and volunteer their prayers, talents, resources, and sweat to improving the quality of life in this historical part of Houston.

Generation One’s mission is to physically and spiritually transform the Third Ward community of Houston, Texas by creating an environment of opportunity that empowers individuals and families to break out of the cycle of generational poverty.
