Biography

As the Chief Investment Officer at Avidian Wealth Solutions, Jacob Borbidge brings a wealth of experience and to the world of financial management. With a remarkable 19-year tenure at Invesco Advisors, Jake’s journey has been defined by his dedication to the investment realm.

Jake’s career at Invesco culminated in his role as Senior Portfolio Manager and Global Head of Research for the Invesco Investment Solutions Team in Houston, TX. As a founding member of the Solutions Team, he played a pivotal role in overseeing the investment process for Invesco’s multi-asset solutions portfolios and models. His leadership extended to directing research initiatives, and he served as the face of the investment team to clients and prospects.

Before this, Jake spent a decade as an analyst for the Invesco Global Quantitative Strategies team, where he honed his skills in developing active quantitative equity strategies across diverse markets. Remarkably, his journey in finance began after a successful stint as a mechanical engineer with ExxonMobil.

Jake holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University and further fortified his financial acumen with an MS in finance from the University of Houston. As a CFA charter holder and CAIA designation holder, Jake is well-versed in the intricacies of the financial landscape.
